Each year, Australians pause on 11 November to reflect on the service and sacrifice of the men and women who have given their lives in defence of our nation. For RSL Sub-Branches across the country, Remembrance Day stands as a solemn reminder of the price of peace, the cost of freedom, and our responsibility to ensure that the legacy of our fallen endures.

This year, the Rose Bay RSL Sub-Branch gathered at Tingira Memorial Park to observe this moment of national reflection. As the clock struck 11, our community stood together in silence, united in gratitude for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice on battlefields throughout history and in modern operations.

The turnout was truly heart-warming. Members, veterans, families, local residents, and supporters came together in strong numbers, filling the park with a sense of respect and shared remembrance. The ceremony provided a meaningful opportunity to pause, reflect, and honour the memory of the fallen in a setting deeply connected to our local heritage.

For our Sub-Branch, commemorations like these reaffirm why we exist: to honour the memory of the fallen, support those who serve, and uphold the values that have shaped Australia’s military history. We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to making this year’s service both respectful and memorable.
